You could get something under $1k for sure, but a motorized screen of any quality eats into your budget. Other UST of that quality usually cost even more! It sounds like you're playing a wide variety of games, which would include games that you'd definitely notice the lag. The Vava 4k on occasion has sales that bring it closer to $2k - But it has input lag. But after my research so far, I do think $1500 is too low, at least for now. I have to mount it on ceiling in my living room (only option of mounting it) and I want it to display on a screen which also will be lowered from the ceiling (also only option, I don't have enough free space on walls). My budget is around 1500 USD, but I could stretch it out a bit if something awesome and worth it comes around (but not too much - wife is watching). I'm upgrading from 14 years old 33" TV, so anything will be better, but I have some specific needs.
I want to buy my first projector, so I don't really know what to look for.
